Braces: new video from Nourishing Nancy!

Posted by on January 26, 2011

This post is part of Real Food Wednesday at Kelly the Kitchen Kop!

Here is the newest video of the progress with my Damon clear braces! I’m thrilled with the progress so far and am very happy to share it with everyone. I only wish that I had perfect teeth before hand; braces are really no fun.

If you’ve never heard of the work of Dr. Weston A. Price, I highly suggest his work. I hope you’ll buy his book here at, because it’s a way of giving me a small tip for all the work involved in doing the videos and keeping this site running! And I promise, it doesn’t cost you an extra penny!

Wow! That’s great that you’re pursuing palate widening, Nancy! I myself am going to give it a go in a few weeks with a homeoblock appliance, which I describe on my blog. I hope to experience good results. Damon Braces appear to be the quickest and most effective method I’ve seen thus far. I think you made a good choice. And good for you for taking charge of your physical health!

I am certainly going to keep up with your updates on this, and I will link to it on my blog.

Thanks, Ryan!! I have never heard of the appliance you’re using. Then, I had never heard of the Damon System until I went to my orthodontist. I must say, this system is pretty amazing. I feel very little discomfort, you only need to get adjustments every 8-10 weeks and my cheeks are without any abrasions or sores. When I looked at the photos they took of my teeth at the office, I couldn’t believe how much healthier my gums and inner mouth looked already. I think that all the misaligned teeth cause problems for those areas, and the braces are already helping blood flow to the area by creating more room and better placement. I’m very impressed, still ticked I need braces, though: lemonade from lemons still apply.
